Fall 2026 Application

Apply to City Cinema Fall 2026.

How Fall Works

  • Four programs are offered — two introductory and two advanced. Rank all four in order of preference (mark programs you can't take as "Not Interested").
  • Introductory courses meet Saturdays. Advanced courses meet Sundays.
  • Create an account to save a draft, return later, and upload documents when ready.
  • Final showcase and gala: Saturday, December 12th.

Application Deadlines

  • Early Decision: Apply by June 1 — notification by July 1
  • Regular Decision: Apply by July 1 — notification by August 1
  • Final Decision: Apply by August 15 — notification by September 1

Hands-on intro to cinematic storytelling — history, technique, and three short films.

Introductory · Saturdays

Actor's Lab

Sep 19 – Dec 5 · 11am–6pm

Intro acting using SOCAPA's toolbox approach — scenes, technique, and short film performance.

Advanced · Sundays

Advanced Filmmaking I

Sep 20 – Dec 6 · 11am–6pm

Writing for Film & Television — feature outlines, TV treatments, and a proof-of-concept film.

Advanced · Sundays

Advanced Acting I

Sep 20 – Dec 6 · 11am–6pm

Audition Workshop — cold readings, self-tape, monologue prep, and mock auditions with industry feedback.
